Ice Worlds

Cool off (figuratively, at least) at the new IMAX movie Ice Worlds. The full-dome screen show takes viewers on a tour of Earth and other planets’ polar regions and icy landscapes as scientists explore the “critical relationship between ice and life.” And yes, that does extend beyond a few cubes in your vodka tonic.

The film, which features new research coordinating more than 200 projects involving scientists from 60 nations as part of International Polar Year, touches on how polar regions affect life on this planet. Of course, since Dubya insists that “the jury’s still out” on global warming, we’re sure all that footage of melting chunks of ice caps is just clever CGI effects from pinko liberal-run movie studios.
