Nestled within the sea of strip malls that makes up most of the 1960-Veterans Memorial Drive area, this dusty record shop is the last thing you’d expect to find. Don’t walk in anticipating it to resemble a Sam Goody, with a knack for showcasing independent, avant garde and all CDs not found at the mall, Vinal Edge promotes the same in their live in-store performances. From local punk rock groups to metal bands, you can expect the store owner’s epicurean tastes to provide live music worth exploring. Make the pilgrimage for a show and pillage the countless boxes of used vinyl that fill the store at the same time. Even if you end up disliking whatever band that plays, you’re sure to leave with a killer new CD or record for your collection.
